The Days of the Week, v.4

Letter Vv Week (backposted)

~Lena is 37 months and Lucy is 19 months~

Lena working on her Play Dough letter mat - she likes these but I think she really likes playing after that letter snakes are done:)

Picnic party on the deck - Lena & Lucy love to eat outside so we do as often as we can for lunch and snacks.  Since Lucy is the messiest eater I have ever seen, clean up is a tad easier for me.  I put this dish set in a our deck toy box, it is great for working on colors and matching the lids to correct pot.

Lucy having some fun with the dot markers...I like to use newspaper to let her color, it's perfect for this age because it is big enough to cover a large area and the girls never minded that it wasn't a fresh, blank page.

Here, Lena is working with the dot markers too, but she is completing her Do-A-Dot sheet from Home School Creations.

Bean Tray Fun...

Lucy has recently gotten into our Melissa and Doug dress up dolls, I try to sit with her and work on body parts and clothing vocab but Lena loves to teach her these too, so this is a great activity for them to do together.

And...when they don't feel like sharing or cooperating with each other, we have a second set so each can do her own thing!

Spontaneous Science - we found a mama rabbit making a nest for her baby bunnies.

This is the girls watching the bunny, we didn't want to go outside for fear of scaring the rabbit away, she was just off the deck.

Vv is vegetables - letter of the week craft...I guess our glue bottle needs to be refilled, no one needs to strain this much to get some glue out of the bottle!

I downloaded and made the new Birds lapbook from 1+1+1=1 this week, Lena loves it and there is so much to do - it may take us all Spring to get through it!  She is coloring all of the different bird cards in this shot.

Royal Wedding Fever!  When I asked Lena what she wanted to wear this day, her answer - "Princess Kate's dress"...we found a fun alternative.

The girls playing together with our bristle blocks.
