The Days of the Week, v.3

Letter Ss Week (backposted)

~Lena is 37 months & Lucy is 19 months~

Lena working on one of her favorite skills...cutting!  I grabbed a handful of paint samples at Home Depot and she loves to cut these.  They are great for practicing short, straight cuts.

Letter Ss Craft this week was a Saints page.  I found this on catholicicing.com and selected saints that meant something to our family, like St. Michael who is the patron saint of police officers, among other things.   Printable Saints Pictures

Sticker Math - adapted from Fun and; Engaging Activities for Toddlers
Lena needed this modeled for her and then she quickly picked up on the process.  I like this one because it includes so many skills:  fine motor skills, counting, matching.  Printable Chart

Another Ss Craft - We read Silly Sally, a book that Lena adores (but I don't love so much:)  But, we both had fun making the sheep to go with the book.  It was such a simple craft that allowed Lena to do most of the steps independently (after instruction on what to do, of course!).  Craft Instructions Found Here!

Another take on Silly Sally!  Printable Silly Sally met a Silly Sheep

Seedlings No More!  Our 1/100th of an acre farm finally sprouted and Lena enjoyed checking in on it each day, watering and playing with the grass.

We also did lots of Easter activities in the past month, check out my post on Lent and Easter for more on what we did.  This is the Jelly Bean Prayer - the girls colored this with dot markers and we made them into little books.  It was perfect for both girls which is always a plus because there is not much they can both do right now that I don't have to adapt to make it appropriate.  We still have one of copy of this on our "church bag" (the book bag packed with activities and FOOD to keep the girls occupied and the parents sane while we are in the pews each Sunday).
