We had so much fun with the letter R!! I found tons of cute ideas on 1+1+1=1 and the girls were engaged with each new activity...who doesn't love RAINBOWS??!!
Rainbow Creations!
Singing the rainbow song...ROYGBIV!!!
Lena crafted her own rainbow after I modeled how to do Lucy's model. She is becoming quite independent in the craft department.
Weekend Leftovers: Ladybug Habiat. Lucy loves her science stuff!
I showed Lena several different options for a letter R is for Rainbows craft and this is what she chose. We glued on the rainbow to a cloud and used glitter to write the letter R...a big favorite for both girls! Lucy is finally able to hang a bit more doing school time, especially if it involves scissors & glue!
I am really determined to stay on top of a bin system for each week of school. I plan to use these bins and rotate different sensory activities through them in order to allow the girls some Montessori style exploratory learning. So far, it has worked very well - giving them a choice of five bins has been a lifesaver! They happily choose a bin...
Lucy is using our letter salt bin to draw shapes and practice writing the letter R.
Lena picked the crayola dry erase board filled with shape tracers from 1+1+1=1
Lucy and I are working together on the shape tracers and Lena had fun snapping a few pics for me:)
Shape Matching Puzzle
Letters on the Lucy's Leapfrog Laptop
Lena and I worked together on a few worksheets, this one is case matching
I broke out one of the first educational toys I made for the girls and it was a big hit all over again. This one is great for motor skills and color matching. The original idea is from Engaging Toddler Activities.
All in all, this was a fun week of learning!! For my RAINBOW ideas, see my Pinterest SCHOOL board.
