February 1985 - I celebrated my seventh birthday with my Mom in a tiny little theatre in Vineland, NJ where my G&T teacher, Ms. Stratton (whom I adored) performed and called me up on stage to have the entire audience, a whole one hundred patrons, serenade me with Happy Birthday. Since then, I never attended another show but must have driven past the modest little theatre a few hundred times, always smiling at the fond memory. Last month, I brought my girls to that very theatre and it did not disappoint. The Cumberland Players presented the original version of Snow White to a audience full of little girls and families eager to see the performance. We were greeted with friendliness found only in quaint community theatres and Lena, Lucy and I delighted in each scene change and twist in the classic story. BRAVO!
