What Am I Doing Here?

Organizing my ideas for crafts for toddlers has left my kitchen office in disarray, so I am turning, for the first time, to the blogosphere as a method to compile ideas I have found on other sites and original activities to complete with my girls.  So, out of my primary goal of collecting and sharing toddler and pre-school fun and skill based "lessons,"  I must admit my mind has strayed into the many other facets of parenting that encompass my life.  I hope to write about not only the everyday struggles I stumble over as a stay at home of two little girls but also the beautifully rewarding graces of mothering. What can I (and you) expect from this mama blog?  My mind has raced through these ideas in the last 45 minutes:
  • “There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.”- Hodding Carter
  • Balancing - learning, free play, TV, housework, marriage, healthy diets, my sanity!
  • Teaching Faith through Example (my hubby is so much better at this than I am!)
  • Giving Thanks
  • Learning from my Mistakes
  • Not taking myself too Seriously
  • Learning to roll with the punches, of which there are a lot when you are raising kids!
  • Passing Judgement and then having to rescind those thoughts sometimes only moments later as I find myself in the same shoes I just cast aside
  • Knowing that I can never stop learning, and never limiting who I can learn from
So, the list above all relate back to my most challenging and rewarding job to date (so cliche in the stay at home mom world but cliches are around for a reason) ...FRANKLY RAISING GRACES!
