By my best estimate, my last blog post was 345 days ago. Lots has transpired since my family blog hiatus began. I, along with my husband, made a decision to return to work as full time special education teacher in September 2012. The transition from stay at home to working mom was one that I was prepared to make, with my return to work, my husband embarked on his own educational journey to pursue his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and our daughters jumped on board the education train as they began pre-school.
It was an incredible school year that included a resignation from one job and a new beginning at another! The girls took it all in stride and loved pre-school. We are so grateful to have found the perfect placement for them where they thrived in an intimate, educational environment - it has been amazing to watch them blossom as little students learning to interact with their peers and learn about life outside of our little bubble!
With all of these changes, many facets of life remained stable. We continued attending St.Mary's and I continued leading the Children's Liturgy of the Word program, Little Disciples, each Sunday - with the help of several other volunteers. Lena and Lucianna enjoyed another terrific year of gymnastics and Lena took an art class in the Spring at Appel Farms. Mike continued his work as a detective.
We took a family trip to Disney in October and the girls can not wait to return....planning has begun for August 2014!!!
Work on my "teacher" website has reinvigorated me to start blogging about our perfectly boring and normal life again! Picture recap of the last 12 months....coming soon!
